Job summary

Medical City Weatherford is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess respiratory status, provide therapy, and manage ventilation across emergency, critical care, and acute settings. You will work with a supportive team to ensure patient safety and ongoing professional growth.

You will collaborate with physicians and nurses, educate patients and families, and maintain respiratory equipment while adhering to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT certification required or pending within standard timelines.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• State licensure as Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner required within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and perform focused exams.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosolized meds, and airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airway support across care settings.
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain equipment and adhere to infection prevention standards.

NBRC-RRT Certification

RCP-State licensure within 1 year
