Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (PRN) to guide patients through routine care and critical moments. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and work with a collaborative team in emergency, critical care, and acute settings.

Qualifications

• BCLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS required or must be obtained within stated timelines.
• NBRC-RRT certification required within 6 months of employment start date.
• RRT/RCP-State license or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Assessing respiratory status by focused exams and airway assessment.
• Delivering evidence-based therapy including oxygen, medications, and airway clearance.
• Managing ventilation and airways with invasive and noninvasive support.
• Educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, and collaborating with the care team.
• Maintaining and sterilizing respiratory equipment per safety standards.
