Job summary

This role requires an Associate's Degree and active state licensure.

Required certifications include NBRC-CRT, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within 90 days of hire; NICU staff may require NRP. Strong KSAs and patient education are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree is required.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice is required.
• Credentialed by the NBRC as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or RRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory care procedures per policy.
• Reviews and documents clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures and monitors therapy.Provides care appropriate to patient age group.
• Maintains certifications and up-to-date knowledge of procedures.
• Attends staff meetings and performs related duties as required.
