Geisinger in Pennsylvania invites an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our clinical team. You will assess patients, develop care plans, manage aerosolized therapies, and operate ventilators according to protocol.

You’ll collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to optimize respiratory care and patient outcomes. In this role you’ll educate patients and families, participate in transport and monitoring, and support discharge planning for respiratory-related needs, with a focus on

Responsabilidades

• Performs and documents thorough patient assessments.
• Establishes care plans.
• Collaborates with the patient care team.
• Administers and documents aerosolized medications, airway care, oxygen therapy.
• Initiates and manages conventional and high-frequency ventilators per protocol.
• Educates patients and families on disease management.
• Assists in intra-hospital transport of ventilated patients.
• Provides acute airway management in emergent situations.
• Monitors non-invasive parameters (ETCO, pulse oximetry).
• Participates in discharge planning for respiratory-related DME.
