Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to administer and manage respiratory care per physician orders and clinical standards. You will lead as a care coordinator across LTAC and in-patient rehab settings, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians.

The role requires current RRT certification, BLS/ACLS, and Georgia licensure, with at least 1 year in respiratory care and 2 years in critical care preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of experience in Respiratory Care.
• 2 years or more of experience in Critical Care preferred.
• Basic Respiratory Therapy Modalities required.
• Ventilator Care and Weaning required.
• Tracheostomy Care and Weaning required.
• ABG collection required.
• EKG required.
• Endotracheal Intubation preferred.
• Bronchoscopy Assist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Respiratory Care Coordinator for Assigned Hospital, developing and managing the Respiratory Plan of Care.
• Communicates and coordinates with physicians, nurses, and clinicians to deliver care.
• Maintains competency in invasive and non-invasive procedures and manages respiratory equipment.
