Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to oversee and coordinate respiratory care across hospital settings in Georgia. You will implement care plans per physician orders, supervise procedures, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, and 1 year of experience; BLS/ACLS and state licensure are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• 1 year of experience in respiratory care is required.
• Critical care experience is preferred (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Act as Respiratory Care Coordinator for assigned hospital.
• Develops and modifies Respiratory Plan of Care with physicians, nurses and clinicians.
• Demonstrates competency in invasive and non-invasive procedures and equipment.
• Serves as a respiratory consultant to hospital departments.
• Maintains knowledge of respiratory medications and pharmacologic interactions.
• Facilitates patient discharge and provides education to patient and family.
