Advocate Health in Park Ridge, IL, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the Respiratory Therapy Services: ACH department. This full-time, 36-hour-per-week position on a 3rd shift (6:30pm-7am) includes a sign-on bonus and ladder-based bonuses.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Respiratory Care, RCP/RRT or CRT credentials, BLS certification, and the ability to support a range of patient ages with strong teamwork and safety focus.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree.
• No experience required.
• Proficient computer skills, use of e-mail and electronic medical record systems.
• Effective organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), listening and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates time management skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritize in an environment with frequent interruptions.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients using respiratory therapy skills and related diagnostics.
• Operate ventilators and assist physicians during procedures.
• Provide prescribed therapies and medications per orders.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and identify when service is needed.
• Educate patients on therapy purpose and techniques.
• Collaborate with other departments for patient management.
• Adapt to policies and procedures for various service areas while maintaining performance standards.
• Communicate clearly and provide timely patient handoffs.
• Promote safety and report incidents.
• Precept new teammates and students.
• Care for patients across age groups.
