Located in Junction City, Tallgrass Healthcare Campus has launched an innovative pulmonary program designed to support residents with pulmonary and cardiac needs. This program has already shown strong results by reducing rehospitalizations, supporting ADLs, and lowering the risk of pulmonary infections — and we’re just getting started.

As our Respiratory Therapist, you’ll work closely with the Director of Nursing, Infection Preventionist, and Pulmonary Program leadership to deliver targeted respiratory treatments, establish meaningful resident goals, and actively track progress. You won’t just be providing therapy — you’ll be shaping outcomes.

Deliver respiratory care services in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and state and federal guidelines
Perform respiratory therapy treatments and interventions, understanding purpose, outcomes, and potential side effects
Assess residents’ tolerance to treatment and reassess response to interventions
Maintain infection control practices and follow equipment sterilization procedures
Safely operate, inspect, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
Maintain thorough knowledge of oxygen therapy hazards and safety standards
Document all resident care and pulmonary program interventions accurately and timely
Develop care plans based on resident learning needs and include families in education when appropriate
Coordinate care with nursing, leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
Participate in education and inservice programs to maintain professional competency
InCharge / Leadership Responsibilities (as assigned):
Oversee daily shift operations, including assignments and troubleshooting
Respond to emergencies and act as a clinical resource
Serve as liaison with nursing staff, leadership, physicians, and administration
Current Kansas Respiratory Therapist license
Graduate of an AMAapproved School of Respiratory Therapy
Active CRT or RRT credential
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Strong clinical judgment, organization, and adaptability
Passion for residentcentered care and collaborative teamwork
