Danbury Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II who provides safe, high-quality care across the cardiopulmonary continuum. The role includes ventilator management, oxygen therapy, arterial blood gas analysis, and patient education to reduce readmissions, in a Pulmonary Medicine department.
Responsibilities cover ventilator protocols, neonatal and surgical care, trauma response, and accurate documentation with department standards. Entry-level CPR required; NBRC/RESP credentials preferred.

Provides safe, high-quality care in a cost effective and timely manner to patients throughout the continuum. Performs critical and lab assessments of the cardiopulmonary patients. Recommends, modifies, and administers oxygen therapy, pharmacological agents, bronchial hygiene, airway, and ventilator care. Respiratory Therapist 2 is a certified Respiratory Therapist or a registered Respiratory Therapist that does not meet requirements for RT3.
