Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tyler, TX is seeking a day shift, full-time Respiratory Therapist to provide patient care for acute and chronic respiratory conditions. You will work under the Respiratory Care Supervisor and contribute to general therapy, critical care, education, processing control, pulmonary services research, and leadership.

Requirements include COARC-accredited program, Texas licensure, CRT with NBRC, BLS within 14 days, ACLS, and NRP within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from COARC accredited respiratory care program.
• Licensed practitioner by the State of Texas Medical Board.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of the Respiratory Care Supervisor and according to specific instructions and established departmental policies and procedures, provides patient care to those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems.
• Job duties and responsibilities are related to General Therapy, Critical Care, Education, Processing Control, Pulmonary Services Research, and Leadership.
