Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tyler, TX is seeking an evening shift, PRN Respiratory Therapist for NICU care. The role involves delivering specialized respiratory support to neonates and critically ill patients under supervision, with emphasis on accurate assessments and safe therapy delivery.

The ideal candidate has a COARC accredited program, Texas license, NBRC certification, and required airway management credentials (BLS, ACLS, NRP) to support the NICU team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a COARC accredited respiratory care program.
• Licensed practitioner by the State of Texas Medical Board.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist with the NBRC.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification is required.
• NRP certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to those with acute and chronic respiratory problems per department policies.
• Under supervision of the Respiratory Care Supervisor, perform duties across General Therapy and Critical Care.
• Support education, processing control, pulmonary services research, and leadership activities within the NICU program.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Respiratory Care Supervisor and according to specific instructions and established departmental policies and procedures, provides patient care to those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems. Job duties and responsibilities are related to General Therapy, Critical Care, Education, Processing Control, Pulmonary Services Research, and Leadership.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from COARC accredited respiratory care program.
• Licensed practitioner by the State of Texas Medical Board.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.
