Job summary

UT Health Tyler in Tyler, TX is seeking a Night Shift, full-time Respiratory Therapist for the CVICU. You will join a dedicated team delivering high-level respiratory care in a high-acuity setting.

Under supervision, you will perform assessments, ventilator management, and patient education while advancing quality of care and patient outcomes in a busy CVICU.

Qualifications

• Graduate from COARC accredited respiratory care program.
• Licensed practitioner by the State of Texas Medical Board.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems under supervision.
• Duties related to General Therapy, Critical Care, Education, Processing Control, Pulmonary Services Research, and Leadership.
