Job summary

Corewell Health Trenton is seeking a Part-time Registered Respiratory Therapist for a midnight shift, 40 hours per pay period, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified external new hires. • Associate's degree in respiratory therapy.
• Eligible for RRT NBRC status.
• State of Michigan respiratory therapist license.

• CRT-BLS certification (ARC) required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians.
• Educates patients, students, staff and physicians as appropriate.
• Provides technical support for respiratory care equipment.
• Assists with general department functions.

About Corewell Health Trenton Hospital

Corewell Health Hospital Trenton is a 193-bed acute care teaching hospital that sponsors nine university-affiliated residency programs. The hospital opened its doors to Trenton and its surrounding communities in 1961. It became part of Corewell Health in September 2014. In addition to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for its patients, the hospital offers all private beds, a medical and surgical intensive care unit and obstetrical care.

Scope of Work

Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist: implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participates in the education of patients, students, staff and physicians; provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care; assists with general department functions.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy
• Eligible for position after attainment of RRT NBRC status.
• Required LIC-Respiratory Therapist - STATE_MI State of Michigan
