Corewell Health Taylor Hospital in Taylor, MI is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift (36 hours per week). Under minimal direction, you will provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care, educate patients, maintain equipment, and participate in department activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Michigan Respiratory Therapist License Upon Hire
• NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Registry Upon Hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification—American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in diagnosis and management of cardiopulmonary disorders
• Participates in patient and family education, student and staff training
• Provides technical support for all Respiratory Care equipment
• Assists with general department functions

About Corewell Health Taylor Hospital

Corwell Health Taylor Hospital is a 148-bed hospital that is a recognized health care leader in the metro Detroit area. Proudly serving Taylor and surrounding communities since 1977, it offers specialty services including 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, inpatient rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including advanced CT w/cardiac scoring, Fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK & elastography).

Scope of work

Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist: implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participates in the education of patients, students, staff and physicians; provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care; assists with general department functions.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy
• Respiratory Therapist License - State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
