This full-time, on-site Respiratory Therapist role is based in South Bend, IN. The Respiratory Therapist will provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care, including administering oxygen and aerosol therapies, performing ventilator management, and delivering emergency respiratory support as needed. Daily responsibilities include assessing patients, interpreting physician orders, operating and maintaining respiratory equipment, and accurately documenting treatments and patient responses. The role involves collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to develop and adjust respiratory care plans, educating patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care, and adhering to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. The Respiratory Therapist will participate in quality improvement initiatives and may assist in training or mentoring students and new team members.
