Job Summary

The Respiratory Care Practitioner II is responsible for assessing respiratory patients with acute and chronic illnesses to ensure the delivery of clinically appropriate respiratory care procedures as prescribed by medical staff for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited school of Respiratory Care or equivalent licensure
• One year of neonatal/pediatric acute and intensive care preferred
• Effective communication skills, emotional stability, computer proficiency, strong organizational and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements

• Sit: Up to 3 hours/day
• Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours
• Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours
• Reach: Up to 6 hours
• Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hours
• Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs, over 25 lbs with assistance or equipment
• Ability to hear alarms and see clearly from 20 inches to 20 ft

License/Certification

• Current CA RCP license
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• BLS, NRP required
