Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care across all aspects of respiratory therapy in accordance with physician orders. The therapist will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource in collaboration with nursing.

Requirements include a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program, valid RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential. Preferred ACLS and PALS, with potential ER roles, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license meeting state requirements.
• Hold the NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, minimal kneeling or crouching.
• Equipment used includes various respiratory care devices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapies and consult with physicians.
• Act as a resource for respiratory care practices.
• Perform assigned duties as needed.
