Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in respiratory therapy based on physician orders, consult on therapy effectiveness, and support physicians and nursing staff as an advanced resource.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care program, active RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential; ACLS and critical care experience are preferred. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate respiratory devices is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license meeting state requirements.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle equipment.
• Proficiency with respiratory care devices.
• ACLS certification and critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy procedures as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff regarding therapy effectiveness.
• Utilize appropriate respiratory devices and equipment.
• Act as an advanced resource for clinical teams.

Education
