Cross Country Medical Staffing Network is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) for pediatric care in a travel setting. You will provide respiratory therapy, run pulmonary and cardiology tests, and operate ventilators across healthcare environments.

Requires NBRC RRT, state licensure, BLS, and 1+ year of experience. Travel assignments include housing options and competitive compensation. Colorado locations with flexible site assignments may apply.

Qualifications

Associate or technical degree required in respiratory care.
NBRC RRT certification required.
Current state licensure required by law.
Blood Gas Technologist certification (in Nevada) required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Clinical experience of at least one year.
Driver’s license if home care setting.
Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card if applicable.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a healthcare setting. This position involves independently providing pediatric respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients across various health care environments. The role requires applying clinical techniques, operating specialized equipment, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Job Details

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Associate or technical degree; proof of passing the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); current licensure as required by state law; Blood Gas Technologist certification (in Nevada); Basic Life Support (BLS); clinical experience of at least one year; valid driver’s license if in a home care setting; Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications: Additional related education and/or experience.
Additional Information: Performs respiratory care and pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing, manages mechanical ventilators, conducts patient assessments, and collaborates with healthcare team members to modify care plans as needed. May supervise department staff and is assigned to various areas requiring respiratory care within the healthcare system.
