BayCare Health System seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for Mease Countryside Hospital. This full-time, night-shift role focuses on delivering high-quality respiratory care and patient comfort within a leading Tampa Bay health system.

The position emphasizes collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, adherence to protocols, and ongoing professional development including certifications and training to meet critical care needs.

Qualifications

• RRT license in respiratory therapy.
• Active NBRC credential for RRT.
• CPR certification.
• NRP certification within 6 months.
• ACLS certification within 6 months.
• PALS certification is required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under physician order and hospital protocols with appropriate clinical judgment.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive respiratory procedures with minimal supervision.
• Performs diagnostic testing and provides emergency/adult critical care as needed.

• Shift Hours: 6:30PM - 7:00AM
• Shift: Nights
• Weekend Work: Every Other

The Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities Include

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care

Certifications and Licensures

Required

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months
• PALS (Pediatric) -

Preferred Education

• Technical Respiratory Therapy
• Associate's Respiratory Therapy -

Preferred Experience

• 6 Months Respiratory
