Job summary

Avenue at Broadview Heights is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing team. You will provide specialized respiratory care in the ventilator unit, work with an interdisciplinary team, and support residents with complex needs in a setting designed for comfort and healing.

The role can be full‑time or part‑time and requires strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Respiratory Therapist license (RT or RRT) in the state of employment.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Experience with ventilator-dependent patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to ventilator-dependent residents.
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory equipment.
• Perform respiratory assessments and administer prescribed treatments.
• Provide tracheostomy care and support ventilator weaning as ordered.
• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and changes in resident condition.
• Accurately document assessments, treatments, and resident responses.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Respiratory Therapist for both full and part time on Nights to provide specialized respiratory care in our Ventilator Unit. This role is responsible for delivering high‑quality respiratory services to residents with complex needs while working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team.

Job Duties

• Provide respiratory care to ventilator‑dependent residents

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and respiratory equipment

• Perform respiratory assessments and administer prescribed treatments

• Provide tracheostomy care and support ventilator weaning as ordered

• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and changes in resident condition

• Accurately document assessments, treatments, and resident responses

• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members

• Maintain compliance with infection control standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications
