Job Summary

Provides evaluation of and care for respiratory therapy patients. Administers prescribed respiratory therapeutic services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assess patient for appropriate treatment and develop a care plan based on diagnosis.
• Provide respiratory care services according to physician's orders, policies, and guidelines.
• Implement and monitor patient care and equipment, record patient conditions, perform advanced modalities.
• Evaluate practice, medication administration, and treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and community resources.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory, and sterilization procedures.
• Respond to medical emergencies and rapid responses.
• Maintain safety and alertness at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience and education.

Experience

• No experience required.

Physical Requirements

• Constant speech, standing, walking; frequent lifting, sitting, reaching, visual and auditory tasks; occasional heavy lifting, patient handling, bending, and driving.

Required Licenses & Certifications

Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin specific requirements listed, including BLS, RRT, and state-specific licenses or permits.
