Job summary

IdealHire Technologies, Inc. seeks a Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a NICU assignment in Brandon, FL. This contract night shift role supports a 36-bed Level 3 NICU, covering up to 36 patients during peak volumes alongside one other therapist.

You will operate Drager VN500 ventilators and 3100A oscillators, administer Nitric Oxide and Vapotherm, perform surfactant delivery, and document in Meditech/NeoNotes. NICU experience and NRP certification are required.

Qualifications

• Active RRT credential.
• Level 3 NICU experience; 3–5 years Level 2 experience may be considered.
• Current NRP certification required.
• Ability to work independently in a high-acuity neonatal environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy in a 36-bed Level 3 NICU with peak volumes.
• Manage conventional and high-frequency ventilation using Drager VN500 ventilators and 3100A Oscillators.
• Administer Nitric Oxide and Vapotherm high-flow therapy as ordered.
• Perform surfactant administration and attend high-risk deliveries.
• Conduct blood gas collection and interpretation.
• Document patient care in Meditech and NeoNotes EMR.

Job Title

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist – NICU

Location

Brandon, FL | Acute Care – Level 3 NICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a 36-bed Level 3 NICU, covering up to 36 patients during peak volumes alongside one additional therapist
• Manage conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation using Drager VN500 ventilators and 3100A Oscillators
• Administer Nitric Oxide and Vapotherm high-flow therapy as ordered
• Perform surfactant administration and attend high-risk deliveries
• Conduct blood gas acquisition and interpretation
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech and NeoNotes EMR systems

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum of Level 3 NICU experience; candidates with 3–5 years of Level 2 NICU experience may be considered
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Ability to work independently and think critically in a high-acuity neonatal environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• STABLE certification (candidates with this certification will be given priority consideration)
• Experience with Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A Oscillators, Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide, and Vapotherm equipment
• Familiarity with Meditech and/or NeoNotes EMR platforms
• Detail-oriented, positive attitude with strong independent critical thinking skills
