Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver direct and indirect patient care in home, office, and hospital settings. You will train team members, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure accurate documentation and billing support to optimize outcomes.

The role emphasizes PPE use, infection control, HIPAA privacy, and collaboration with CPAP/BIPAP program managers to support respiratory patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Related experience in Medicare certified HME environment preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and program managers to provide equipment instruction and service.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks, and communicate instructions clearly.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and basic repairs per policy.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
