Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of Ohio.

• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, pulmonary care, or critical care preferred but not required.
• Experience caring for residents with tracheostomies and mechanical ventilation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents with respiratory conditions and identify changes in respiratory status.
• Provide specialized nursing care for residents with tracheostomies and mechanical ventilators.
• Monitor oxygen therapy, non-invasive ventilation (CPAP, BiPAP, and AVAPS), and respiratory treatments.
• Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy regarding ventilator management, respiratory treatments, and resident care planning.
• Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.
• Recognize and respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and changes in condition.
• Ensure accurate documentation of respiratory assessments, treatments, interventions, and resident responses.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory disease management and respiratory equipment.
