Job summary

The Belmont Health and Rehabilitation in Columbus, Indiana, is seeking a Respiratory Nurse to join our team. This role focuses on diagnosis, treatment and management of pulmonary diseases and will involve direct resident care.

Responsibilities include daily care, restorative nursing, coordinating with management, explaining treatment goals to residents and families, and supervising unit staff. RNs or LPNs licensed in Indiana are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Licensed in Indiana as an RN or LPN.
• Experience or training in nursing services administration, rehabilitation or geriatric nursing.
• Experience or training in pulmonary/respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the daily care, health needs, safety and comfort of the residents.
• Assure that restorative nursing care measures are performed as indicated and ordered.
• Maintain open communication with nursing management regarding conditions on the nursing unit and concerns related to staff, residents and visitors.
• Explain treatment goals and expectations to the residents and family, in an effort to obtain feedback and cooperation.
• Supervise/manage personnel on his/her unit.
