Equiliem is recruiting for pediatric critical care staffing in New Jersey. Candidates must hold an active New Jersey license and BLS/NRP/PALS/RRT certifications, with 1.5 years of NICU/PICU Level III experience.

Roles include NICU/PICU/PEDs ED settings, with floating within skill set and Epic charting. Weekend coverage and winter holiday shifts apply; strong airway and ventilation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1.5 years experience including PICU and NICU Level III.
• Work Settings: NICU, PICU, Pediatrics and PEDs ED.
• Advanced neonatal/pediatric care procedures and airway management.
• Performs arterial punctures, ABGs, iNO, nebulizers as needed.
• Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays; weekend rotation and on-call commitments.

Responsibilities

• Work in NICU, PICU, PEDs ED within Children’s Hospital.
• Float within skill set across NICU/PICU/Peds ED as required.
• Maintain Epic charting and accurate documentation.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports.
• Follow policy on on-call and holiday coverage.

Job description

Winter Holiday Requirement

• Based on Unit/Department: Clinicians must either work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays, as needed. (Winter Holidays include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years)

Required License and Certifications

• License: Active New Jersey license required
• Required Certifications: BLS; NRP; PALS; RRT (CRT not accepted)

Required Experience & Clinical Skills

• Experience: 1.5 years including both PICU and NICU Level III experience.
• Work Settings: NICU, PICU, Pediatrics and PEDs ED
• Neonatal/Pediatric Care: Apnea monitor; assist with high-risk deliveries; interdepartmental neonatal transports; umbilical blood gases
• Airway/O2 Therapy: Bag-mask ventilation; ETT; HFNC; O2 tanks; T-piece; trach collar; nasal/oral airway placement and suctioning; ETT/NT suctioning; extubation; intubation assist; tracheostomy care
• Mechanical Ventilation: BiPAP; CPAP; high-frequency jet and oscillatory ventilation; troubleshooting high-pressure alarms; weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Respiratory Procedures: Arterial punctures; draw and interpret ABGs; handheld nebulizer; T-piece nebulizer; trach collar nebulizer; inhaled iNO

Scheduling Details and Charting

• Charting: Epic required
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• RTO, Block & Scheduling Requests: Priority given to submits with a screenshot confirming RTO and schedule requests. No requests will be approved after offer.
• Call Off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays, if needed
• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
• Locals Accepted: Yes, Locals accepted at the same rate

Unit Details and Floating

• Units: Located within Client Children's Hospital (BMSCH)
• Floating: Candidates must float within their skill set without exception. (NICU, PICU, PEDs, Peds ED)
