Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care supervisor to lead the respiratory staff, ensure safe, high-quality care, and implement policy-driven practices.

You will work closely with the medical team to monitor patient conditions and optimize respiratory services. Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited respiratory care program, current RCP license, NBRC RRT, and five or more years of experience; BLS may be obtained

Qualifications

• Graduate from an Accredited College Program in Respiratory Care.
• Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the state of practice.
• Five or more years of experience.
• Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC; BLS may be obtained upon hire.
• RRT may be substituted with 10 years of leadership experience and CRT NBRC certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Respiratory staff to ensure safe, quality care in line with policies and guidelines.
• Assists in planning, implementation and evaluation of operations, technique and technology for appropriate respiratory care.
• Provides respiratory care services via direct patient care and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Monitors patient conditions and serves as a clinical resource for coworkers, patients and visitors.
• Demonstrates alignment with Mercy mission, values and service standards.
