Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX invites an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory & Sleep team on a PRN, day shift. You will set up, operate, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment, administer prescribed medications, and monitor patient responses under physician orders.

The role requires current RCP/CRT/RRT licensure and active BLS/CPR; ACLS/PALS/NRP training within 6 months of hire is expected to be completed. Strong teamwork and patient education are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RCP, CRT, or RRT license is required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required within 6 months of hire/transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate devices such as ventilators and gas administration equipment per treatment parameters.
• Provide emergency care, including CPR and resuscitation support.
• Monitor patient responses (vital signs, ABG, labs) and consult physicians as needed.
• Educate patients and families on breathing exercises and respiratory equipment usage.

Education
