Qualifications

• Current Texas RCP license is required.
• NRP certification within 6 months of hire date.
• ECMO certification within 1 year of meeting required hours.
• Minimum 2 years as a practicing respiratory therapist.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate ventilators, gas administration, and aerosol generators per treatment plan.
• Provide emergency care including CPR and resuscitation assistance.
• Monitor vital signs, ABGs, and labs; consult physician on adverse events.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and respiratory therapies.
• Maintain charts and ensure equipment safety and maintenance.
