Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (PRN) for a day shift (6:45am-7:15pm) with varied weekdays and weekends based on department needs. The role includes routine respiratory care procedures such as gas therapy, ventilator support, spirometry and bronchoscopy assistance.

The position requires RRT and TX RCP licensure, BLS and ACLS certification, and at least one year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an education program approved by credentialing body.
• One year experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner preferred.
• RRT and state RCP licensure; BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care procedures including gas therapy, ventilator support, spirometry and bronchoscopy assistance.
• Prepare, administer and monitor medications and treatments as ordered.
• Provide direct patient care and assist physicians and health professionals.
• Document patient care and ensure safety standards and quality of care.
