Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II at West Hospital to provide comprehensive respiratory care across assessment, planning, intervention and education. The role requires licensing and NBRC credentialing with at least two years of experience in respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, IPPB, airway care, and patient education, with opportunities to lead shift staffing as Charge Therapist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree related to Respiratory Therapy or healthcare.
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state of work.
• NBRC credentialed (required).
• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS are required (NBRC/CPFT/RPFT preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required for Home Care/DME.

Responsibilities

• May serve as the shift Charge Therapist ensuring staffing coverage.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopy and intubation when applicable.
• Perform CPR per AHA ACLS protocol and monitor patient response to therapy.
• Administer and monitor oxygen therapy and ventilator care.
• Instruct patients and families on incentive spirometry and MDI use.
• Maintain respiratory therapy equipment and document procedures.
