Job summary

Northampton Community College seeks a Respiratory Care Program Faculty / Clinical Coordinator to lead lecture and lab sessions and coordinate students' clinical experiences across affiliated sites in Bethlehem, PA. This 12-month teaching faculty role includes clinical education leadership and program collaboration.

Ideal candidates hold an RRT credential with PA licensure, and have multiple years in teaching or clinical instruction within a CoARC-accredited program.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree; master's preferred.
• Experience: RRT credential and PA license; four years as an RRT with two years in clinical respiratory care; at least two years teaching in a CoARC‑accredited program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor; CoARC Key Personnel Training Program completed.
• Skills: knowledge of respiratory care education, pedagogy, curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation; strong organizational, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to travel to clinical sites; computer literacy; advisory relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Lead lecture classes and hands-on labs, and manage students' clinical experiences.
• Coordinate clinical placements and schedules with program director and affiliates.
• Maintain regular communication with students, faculty, preceptors, and sites.
• Participate in school and program meetings; assist in budget preparation.
• Lead for continuous assessment and accreditation activities; support recruitment and retention.
