Job summary

Northampton Community College seeks a Respiratory Care Program Faculty / Clinical Coordinator to lead lectures, coordinate hands-on labs, and manage students’ clinical experiences across affiliated sites. The role is 12 months with a 40 Instructor Credit Hour workload, aligning with Director of Clinical Education responsibilities for CoARC accreditation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution; master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and Pennsylvania Respiratory Care license; minimum of four years of experience as a RRT; minimum of two years teaching in a CoARC-accredited program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor; completion of CoARC Key Personnel Training.

Responsibilities

• Lead lecture classes and hands-on labs for students in the Respiratory Care Program.
• Administer the student’s clinical experience at program clinical sites.
• Coordinate clinical education in accordance with CoARC standards.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with clinical affiliates; recruit, mentor, and support preceptors.
