Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform routine and complex respiratory care procedures, including gas therapy, ventilation support and diagnostic testing as part of the patient care team.

The role requires professional licensure (RRT, RCP) with BLS/ACLS/NRP, and strong communication and time-management skills to ensure safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an education program approved by the credentialing body for required credentials.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and coworkers.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care including arterial blood gas, spirometry, ventilator support and medication delivery.
• Assist with bronchoscopy and diagnostic testing as appropriate.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient care and charges in the appropriate system.
