Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a PRN Respiratory Care Practitioner II at West Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. The role involves patient assessment, planning, intervention, and education across a range of respiratory therapies, including ventilator care and airway management, with patient safety and documentation at the core.

The position requires a current state license, NBRC credential, and two years of Respiratory Care experience, with BLS, ACLS, and PALS on the required list.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional.
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state of practice.
• NBRC credentialed (required).
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS required.
• NRP and CPFT/RPFT preferred.

Responsibilities

• May serve as the shift Charge Therapist ensuring adequate staffing and coverage.
• Perform CPR per ACLS protocol and ventilator care.
• Conduct respiratory procedures including bronchoscopy support and airway management.
• Instruct patients and families on therapies and home care where applicable.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment.
