Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy from a CoARC/CoARTE approved program.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in IL (IDFPR).
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - NBRC.
• BLS within 30 days; ACLS within 1 year; NRP within 1 year; PALS within 1 year.
• RRT certification within 1 year expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs all forms of respiratory therapy as assigned.
• Ventilator management and maintenance; set alarms and monitor parameters.
• Document all therapy, ventilator, and oxygen in patient records.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure optimal patient care.
• Assist in patient rounds and bedside education.
• Ensure infection control and proper use of PPE.
