**South of Broad Healthcare (SOBH) is expanding access to high-quality, community-based healthcare throughout southern Beaufort County and the surrounding Lowcountry. Grounded by a mission of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, SOBH supports strategic growth designed to bring essential healthcare services closer to the people and communities we serve. At the center of SOBH is Bluffton Community Hospital, a new 28 bed, full-service hospital. Approximately 90,000 square foot facility will include a 24/7 emergency department, an acute inpatient nursing unit, surgical and endoscopy suites, a cardiac catheterization lab, advanced imaging, laboratory services, and additional outpatient capabilities. The hospital is scheduled for completion in late 2026, with patient care anticipated to being early 2027.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner assists in the treatment and management of neonatal, pediatric and adult patient populations. Therapists follow hospital and departmental policies, procedures and therapist driven protocols to safely and effectively deliver care as ordered by the patient’s physician. Participate in diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care to include: ventilation and airway management, PFTs, bronch assists, code team response, electrocardiograms, chest physiotherapy, patient education and ABG acquisition/analysis. Therapists should possess strong critical thinking and effective communication skills. As a member of this patient care team, the therapist will have the opportunity to work in all care areas, evaluate patient progress in response to interventions, therapy and assist with discharge planning as needed. These activities will follow established behavior standards. We are seeking to employ a results-driven team player that strives to deliver excellent patient care in a fast paced environment.
