Job summary

Beaufort Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab at Bluffton Community Hospital. The RN will plan and coordinate care for Cath Lab patients, directing ancillary staff to implement the patient care plan in a fast-paced, adult-oriented unit.

Applicants must hold an SC Nursing License, with BLS and ACLS in place; PALS is preferred. This position offers full-time hours and the opportunity to contribute to a growing hospital system committed to patient-centered care and

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a South Carolina Nursing License.
• Experience in acute care or cath lab settings preferred.
• Current SC RN license required, BLS/ACLS mandatory, PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate care for a group of patients within the Cath Lab unit.
• Direct ancillary personnel for implementation of the patient plan of care.
• Perform duties in accordance with the SC Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and Nursing Standards of Practice.

Description

South of Broad Healthcare (SOBH) is expanding access to high-quality, community-based healthcare throughout southern Beaufort County and the surrounding Lowcountry. Grounded by a mission of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, SOBH supports strategic growth designed to bring essential healthcare services closer to the people and communities we serve. At the center of SOBH is Bluffton Community Hospital, a new 28 bed, full-service hospital. Approximately 90,000 square foot facility will include a 24/7 emergency department, an acute inpatient nursing unit, surgical and endoscopy suites, a cardiac catheterization lab, advanced imaging, laboratory services, and additional outpatient capabilities. The hospital is scheduled for completion in late 2026, with patient care anticipated to being early 2027. Bluffton Community Hospital represents more than the construction of a new facility – it reflects a long-term investment in the health, economic vitality, and future of one of South Carolina’s fasts growing communities. The registered nurse at BMH supports the philosophy of nursing by planning and coordinating care for a group of patients within his/her area. This individual has the responsibility to direct ancillary personnel for implementation of the patient's plan of care and has satisfactorily mastered the basic skills in the assigned area. The scope of nursing practice is focused on an assigned group of patients and encompasses charge responsibilities as assigned. Performs within the limits of SC Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for nurses, hospital policies and procedures, and Nursing Standards of Practice.

Position Requirements

Education

• Ability to obtain and maintain a South Carolina Nursing License

Experience

• Previous experience preferred.

Certifications/Licenses

• Current South Carolina RN license.
• BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
