Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Care Unit Manager in Georgia to lead daily operations, ensure staffing, and deliver high-quality care. The role emphasizes staff development, retention, and policy implementation within a hospital setting.

The successful candidate will have a respiratory therapy bachelor’s degree, Georgia licensure, NBRC registration, and at least 3 years of progressive management experience with strong leadership and teamwork abilities. BLS is required.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy is required.
• A Master's degree preferred.
• Current licensure by the State of Georgia.
• Current Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Membership and participation in a professional organization preferred.
• A minimum of three (3) years progressive management experience, with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Extensive experience working closely with physicians, families, and peers and the ability to gain trust and credibility.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member while assuming a leadership role within the organization.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• In conjunction with hospital administration, the manager is responsible and accountable for assuring 24 hour efficient management of the respiratory care unit, including managing the daily operations, and assuring appropriate staffing levels.
• The manager is responsible to assure the delivery of quality health care services.
• A priority of this position is to focus on staff development, staff satisfaction, and staff retention.
• The manager participates in the establishment and implementation of policies, develops departmental goals, and ensures efficient operations of the Department.
• Complies with all hospital policies and procedures and actively supports Emory Healthcare.
• The manager, along with the director ensures all OSHA and JCAHO standards are maintained.
