Directs, monitors and manages all day-to-day operations of the department, including staffing, scheduling, workload prioritization, cost management, and equipment utilization / maintenance. Creates an efficient, accountable, and collaborative team environment with staff and with physicians. Is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality are followed and maintained.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Required
• Bachelors or Master's degree in Respiratory care preferred.

Work Experience

• 2 years of progressive leadership experience in Respiratory Care Required
• 3 years with two (2) years of experience recent clinical experience in area of clinical responsibility. Required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, clinical decision-making skills, and presentations.

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); has and maintains a current licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional in the state of Georgia Required

• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
