Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Care Unit Manager in Georgia to lead daily operations, ensure staffing, and deliver high-quality care. The role emphasizes staff development, retention, and policy implementation within a hospital setting.

The successful candidate will have a respiratory therapy bachelor’s degree, Georgia licensure, NBRC registration, and at least 3 years of progressive management experience with strong leadership and teamwork abilities. BLS is required.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy is required.
• A Master's degree preferred.
• Current licensure by the State of Georgia.
• Current Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Membership and participation in a professional organization preferred.
• A minimum of three (3) years progressive management experience, with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Extensive experience working closely with physicians, families, and peers and the ability to gain trust and credibility.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member while assuming a leadership role within the organization.
• BLS Certification required.

• The manager, along with the director ensures all OSHA and JCAHO standards are maintained.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy is required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (MediumMax 25lbs): up to 25 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required.
