Job summary

Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Respiratory Care Intern to support the Respiratory Therapy department. This per diem position offers 4-hour shifts and variable scheduling.

Under supervision, you will assist with inventory management of respiratory equipment, ventilators, and gas cylinders, and gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting while advancing your respiratory program.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Student enrolled in a respiratory program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of compressed gas cylinders, respiratory equipment including mechanical ventilators, and ventilation testing prior to patient use.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels for all equipment and supplies used by the department.
• Resupply full tanks and remove small oxygen and air cylinders at designated areas throughout the hospital.
