Job summary

Indiana University Health in Bloomington is seeking a Respiratory Care Educator to coordinate and deliver education for respiratory care staff, students, and colleagues. You will support new employee orientation, continuing education, competency development, and individualized instruction, while partnering with colleges to facilitate clinical experiences.

This role travels between Bedford, Bloomington, Paoli Hospitals and requires evening/weekend availability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care, Education, or a related field required.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
Current Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
BLS and ACLS and NRP certifications required and maintained per dept. policies.
Experience in respiratory care and teaching/education preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and provide educational programs for respiratory care staff, students, and other healthcare professionals.
Support new employee orientation and continuing education initiatives; competency development and individualized instruction.
Collaborate with colleges/universities to facilitate clinical experiences and instruction for students.
Lead and support department projects and quality initiatives.
Maintain educational records, training documentation, and competency tracking.
Serve as an educational resource for staff and interdisciplinary teams.
