Job summary

Great River Health is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care leader to supervise staff, oversee departmental operations, and ensure high-quality patient care. The role includes scheduling, hiring, training, and compliance with regulatory standards across WB and FM campuses.

The position emphasizes budget planning, performance reviews, and collaboration with clinical management to deliver effective respiratory services and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapist program Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Required within 3 years
• 1–3 years critical care experience Preferred
• 1–3 years supervisory experience Preferred
• Knowledge of respiratory care equipment, budgets, and regulatory standards

Responsibilities

• Oversee the workflow of the Respiratory Care department and maintain standards.
• Supervise staff directly, including clinical reviews and performance evaluation.
• Plan and prepare staff work schedules and coordinate with other departments.
• Ensure documentation meets department policies and procedures.
• Lead recruitment, hiring, training, and staff development initiatives.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and striving for efficient operations.
