Job summary

Loyola Medicine Transport seeks a Respiratory Care Coordinator to supervise shift staff, coordinate hospital-wide respiratory care services for adults, pediatrics, and neonatal patients, and provide clinical leadership as a resource. This role is based in the Loyola Medicine system and offers strong team culture and career growth.

We require Illinois IDFPR RCP licensure, BLS, and certifications like NRP/PALS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• RCP license from the State of Illinois (IDFPR).
• BLS for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
• NRP and PALS certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Associate degree; bachelor’s degree within 18 months may be required.
• 3–5 years neo/pedi experience; 6–10 years preferred.

• Coordinate and monitor hospital-wide respiratory care services, ensuring quality and appropriateness.

What you’ll do:

• Under general direction of the department manager, according to departmental and hospital standards, the Respiratory Care Practitioner Coordinator, coordinates and monitors the delivery of Respiratory Care services hospital wide (Adults, Pediatrics, and Neonatal) ensuring quality and appropriateness, by supervising all personnel on the assigned shift as well as providing leadership as a clinical resource for defined services.

What you’ll need for this job:

• RCP License from the State of Illinois through IDFPR
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) through the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association within 90 days of hiring
• Associate degree (bachelor's degree within 18 months of starting)
• Bachelor's degree preferred at time of hire/transfer
• 3-5 years experience with neo/peds population
• 6-10 years experience with neo/peds population preferred

Pay Range: $36.50 - $54.35 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
