Loyola Medicine is seeking a part-time Respiratory Care Practitioner II for the Day Shift. The role involves performing diagnostic pulmonary function procedures, bronchoscopy support, conscious sedation setup, and interpretation of patient records within a three-hospital system in the Chicago suburbs.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in respiratory care, IL licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, and RRT certification; CPR is required, and CPFT/RPFT are valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care required; bachelor's preferred.
• Current IL state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• CPR required.
• ACLS preferred.
• PALS preferred.
• CPFT required within 6 months of hire.
• RPFT preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Manager of Respiratory Care Services, provides diagnostic pulmonary function procedures, bronchoscopy assist, conscious sedation, setup and interpretation of neo/peds event records, sweat chloride testing, and functions as a Respiratory Care Practitioner II as needed.

What you’ll do:

• Under the general supervision of the Manager of Respiratory Care Services, and the direct supervision of the Coordinator of Pulmonary Laboratories, provides diagnostic pulmonary function procedures, bronchoscopy assist, conscious sedation, setup and interpretation of neo/peds event records, sweat chloride testing, and functions as a Respiratory Care Practitioner II as needed.

What you’ll need for this job:

• Associate degree in respiratory care required; bachelor's preferred

Pay Range: $30.99 - $50.71 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range buy may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
