Northwestern Medicine seeks a Respiratory Quality Coordinator to lead quality improvement, safety initiatives, and regulatory readiness within the Respiratory Care department. You will apply advanced clinical expertise to ensure adherence to standards and drive continuous improvement.

The role collaborates with leadership, educates staff, and assists in policy development while supporting accreditation activities and quality projects across the unit.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree or active enrollment in a program; completion within three years.
• 5+ years of Critical Care experience.
• Active IL Respiratory Therapist License (IDFPR).
• RRT certification; CPR BLS, ACLS, and PALS; NBRC RRT-ACCS; NRP within 6 months.

Responsabilidades

• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, clinical outcomes, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with operational and medical leadership to identify opportunities for improvement, develop solutions, and implement effectively.
• Audit respiratory care staff documentation, clinical practices, and workflows to ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with the Respiratory Education Coordinator to identify quality-driven educational needs for staff and competency development.
• Assist with development, review, and revision of departmental policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
• Assist clinical teams and leadership in responding to quality-related inquiries from patients, families, payers, researchers.
