Job summary

Atrium Health Union - Respiratory Therapy Services is seeking a part-time Respiratory Care Assistant to perform respiratory duties according to NCRCB RCA guidelines and to support patient care. The position requires 4 hours per week with variable shifts including at least one weekend shift and is sign-on bonus eligible.

Applicants must be registered with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board as an RCA, have BLS for healthcare providers, and be enrolled in a CoARC-approved respiratory care

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; currently enrolled in a CoARC-approved respiratory care program with at least 1 year completed.
• Evidence of clinical competency evaluations from the Respiratory Program (skills lab and didactics).

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory duties as per NCRCB RCA guidelines.
• Administers respiratory care treatments, oxygen, suctioning, and ABG collection/run.
• Follows safety rules; completes annual proficiency evaluations and regulatory requirements.
