Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Rocky Mount is seeking a Respiratory Care Assistant to provide routine respiratory therapies and diagnostics under direct supervision. The role supports chronically and critically ill patients across inpatient settings and requires a proactive learner with commitment to patient care.

Candidate must be a Senior RT Student with a provisional license and current BLS/ACLS certifications, with at least one year of respiratory curriculum completed.

Qualifications

• Must be a Senior RT Student from an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program and have a provisional license in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum of one year completion of Respiratory curriculum in an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine respiratory therapy and diagnostic procedures for patients.
• Maintain all respiratory care equipment in working order.
• Work under direct supervision of a licensed RCP and under Medical Director supervision.
• This is a non-exempt position.
